Business continuity planning

What is business continuity planning?

It’s a proactive planning process which aims at ensuring the delivery of services or essential products of a business during a period of disruption. These products or essential services are those which must be provided in order to insure survival, avoid causing injuries and respect the legal and various obligations of an organization.  The business continuity planning also allows a business to protect its facilities, its data, as well as its assets.  It includes the following: plans, measures, arrangements and the identification of necessary resources (personnel, information, equipments, financial allocations, legal advice, the protection of infrastructure and installations).
