Description ABC

As of 2017, the FNQLEDC has been assigned responsibility for social economy. The social economy advisor coordinates and hosts the First Nations Social Economy Regional Table (FNSERT), which is part of the network of social economy hubs in Quebec. The key objective of this service is to give more exposure to social economy so that First Nations become more and more aware of it.


  • Consulting services in collective and social entrepreneurship;
  • Support and accompaniment in the development of Aboriginal social economy enterprises;
  • Strategic and sectorial monitoring;
  • Support for social innovation.
StartUP Nations

The purpose of the StartUP Nation held on September 17th to the 19th 2017, was to stimulate collective and social entrepreneurship and showcase the leadership of First Nation youths. In total, 40 young persons from 11 different communities took part in the event. The next edition will take place in 2019.
