The Program for the Grand Economic Circle Is Now Unveiled
The program for the Grand Economic Circle of Indigenous People and Quebec, which will be held at the Centre Sheraton Montreal on November 25 and 26, 2021, is now unveiled.
The event, which aims to foster the full participation of Indigenous people in Quebec’s economy, will feature a very diverse program of conferences and panel discussions.
Here is an overview of the program:
- How to make room for Indigenous entrepreneurs and products in an authentic way?
During this panel, Mr. Peter Simons, CEO of La Maison Simons, will have a discussion with Lara B. Sioui of Onquata and Josée Shushei Leblanc, of Atikuss (November 25, 1:45 pm). - Focusing on representativeness in key positions for a strong economic reconciliation:
A panel discussion featuring National Chief RoseAnne Archibald, Grand Chief Kahsennehawe Sky-Deer and Grand Chief Mandy Gull-Masty (November 25, 3:15 pm). - Economic partnerships for all:
A panel discussion featuring Sophie Brochu, from Hydro-Québec, and Grand Chief Kahsennehawe Sky-Deer (November 26, 8:30 am). - Drawing inspiration from Indigenous tourism to foster the recovery of local tourism:
A conversation between Mr. Dave Laveau, from Indigenous Tourism Quebec, Ms. Robin McGinley, from Cree Outfitting and Tourism Association, and Mr. Billy Cain, from Johnny and Billy Cain Outfitters (November 26, 9:15 am).
