As Social Economy Month begins, the New Pathways Foundation is pleased to present Changing the World, One Project at a Time, a joint initiative with the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Economic Development Commission (FNQLEDC), the First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Health and Social Services Commission (FNQLHSSC) and M361.

The main objective of this study is to provide tools to various First Nations stakeholders forthe development of existing and future social economy enterprises to offer various services that meet the unmet needs of independentseniors and those with decreasing independence in Indigenous circles both on-and off-reserve in Quebec.

This study presents the various issues, success factors and possible solutions to be considered when setting up a home support social economy enterprise in an Indigenous context in Quebec. 

SISMIC is the first collective enterprises ideation and incubation path offered to young people from the First Nations of Quebec.

This information leaflet is a basic reference tool on social economy. Although aimed at the general public, it is designed specifically for social and economic stakeholders working with First Nations.
