data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW178418178 BCX0\">Here are the projects, meetings, and reflections that have particularly shaped their vision and that could open new avenues for the Indigenous social economy<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW178418178 BCX0\">.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP SCXW178418178 BCX0\" data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>DRAWING INSPIRATION FROM THE LAND: RURALITY AS A LABORATORY FOR INNOVATION\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For Val\u00e9rye and Jinny, the GSEF regional tour acted as both a magnifying glass and a mirror. As a magnifying glass, to reveal concrete and ingenious practices implemented in rural France, and as a mirror, to reflect on what our own communities can build, strengthen\u2026 or dream of.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The South-Gironde tour, which took a total of 10 hours, highlighted a universal challenge: how can the challenges of rurality be overcome while consolidating sustainable collective projects? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first visits took them to Sigalens, then to La R\u00e9ole, where the social and solidarity economy (SSE) is taking root in a deliberate balance: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strong volunteer commitment ; <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Essential commercial activities ; <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hybrid models where solidarity and economic viability coexist. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>On site, they witnessed how local organizations mobilize to meet basic needs\u2014food, education, community\u2014while simultaneously generating recurring revenue to ensure the sustainability of these initiatives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><span class=\"TextRun SCXW163031833 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-CA\" xml:lang=\"EN-CA\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW163031833 BCX0\">\u201cTheir volunteer involvement truly moved me: seeing people give so much of themselves to sustain essential initiatives, simply out of solidarity, was deeply inspiring.\u201d<\/span><\/span> <\/em><span class=\"LineBreakBlob BlobObject DragDrop SCXW163031833 BCX0\"><em><span class=\"SCXW163031833 BCX0\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/em><br class=\"SCXW163031833 BCX0\"><\/span><span class=\"TextRun SCXW163031833 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-CA\" xml:lang=\"EN-CA\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW163031833 BCX0\">&#8211; Val\u00e9rye Tremblay<\/span><\/span><span class=\"EOP SCXW163031833 BCX0\" data-ccp-props=\"{}\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"TextRun SCXW114516527 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-CA\" xml:lang=\"EN-CA\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW114516527 BCX0\">These observations led to a clear conclusion: First Nations communities also have the potential to build social economy ecosystems<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW114516527 BCX0\"> that are<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW114516527 BCX0\"> rooted in their territories, traditions, and strengths<\/span><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW114516527 BCX0\">.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"LineBreakBlob BlobObject DragDrop SCXW114516527 BCX0\"><span class=\"SCXW114516527 BCX0\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>HEARTWARMING: SIGALE AND LE FOURNIL, OVEN-BAKED SOLIDARITY\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"510\" src=\"https:\/\/cdepnql.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/RECAPxGSEF.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20386\" style=\"width:474px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdepnql.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/RECAPxGSEF.png 650w, https:\/\/cdepnql.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/RECAPxGSEF-300x235.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This project was a true inspiration. Sigale and Le Fournil propose a simple yet incredibly powerful model: a community bakery where professionals can rent space to bake bread and pastries, while providing local products that are accessible to residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s a perfectly balanced social economy model that: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Meets a vital need (food) ; <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Supports local entrepreneurship ; <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strengthens social cohesion ; <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Generates sustainable income. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p> For First Nations, such an approach could lead to promising avenues: training artisans, creating shared spaces, passing on culinary knowledge, all while making communities more food self-sufficient. This is a flexible, highly engaging model that can take root in many communities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>LA BULLE: WHEN COOKING BECOMES A TOOL FOR EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE TRANSMISSION\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignright size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"510\" src=\"https:\/\/cdepnql.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/RECAPxGSEF2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20388\" style=\"width:474px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdepnql.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/RECAPxGSEF2.png 650w, https:\/\/cdepnql.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/RECAPxGSEF2-300x235.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In La R\u00e9ole, an encounter with La Bulle, founded by Aline, opened new horizons. This association develops a range of activities that are centered on sustainable food: cooking workshops, training for professionals, event catering, project engineering\u2026 all within an intergenerational approach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They focus on cooking, but also pedagogy, autonomy, and innovation.
