CEDOs Have Been Trained in Economic Development Project Analysis

Last June, approximately 20 economic development community stakeholders participated in a four-hour training opportunity on the specific topic of Economic Development Project Analysis. This training offered by the FNQLEDC was held during two distinct two-hour sessions on the Zoom platform.

CEDOs Have Been Trained in Economic Development Project Analysis

During the first session, participants were able to review many concepts on how to read and interpret financial statements. This was also an opportunity to learn how to use the main financial ratios and put theory into action by working on a practical exercise.

During the second session, participants learned about various methods of measuring project performance, not only from a financial perspective but also according to the objectives of community economic development, such as job creation and economic diversification. The workshops held during this session also provided for interesting discussions between participants from diverse communities on how to envision economic development. Our technical advisor in entrepreneurship who provided the training was quite happy to see how the participants’ experiences enhanced learning for everyone. This was definitely an extremely rewarding training opportunity!
