The FNQLEDC, in collaboration with the Centre de transfert d’entreprise du Québec (CTEQ,) was pleased to welcome community economic development officers (CEDOs), on March 26th, as well as Indigenous and non-Indigenous entrepreneurs from the Abitibi-Témiscamingue and Nord-du-Québec regions as part of its Conference Day on Business Transfer.

The First Nations of Quebec and Labrador Economic Development Commission had the pleasure of welcoming around thirty young Indigenous entrepreneurs from across Quebec on March 12 and 13 as part of its event entitled “Auetiss: Me, an entrepreneur? Why not?”

As part of its series of success stories in the Indigenous communities in Quebec, the FNQLEDC spoke with Jason Picard-Binet, new owner and president of Bastien Industries, a moccasin manufacturer that has been established in the community of Wendake since 1878.
