Bastien Industries: Business transfer within the First Nations

This is a question that many aspiring entrepreneurs ask themselves, often believing that it is absolutely necessary to start from scratch when it comes to starting a business. This notion, however, is inaccurate and causes many people to overlook the option of taking over a pre-existing business.

As part of its series of success stories in the Indigenous communities in Quebec, the FNQLEDC spoke with Jason Picard-Binet, new owner and president of Bastien Industries, a moccasin manufacturer that has been established in the community of Wendake since 1878.
